The River Falls Pickleball Association had visitors from across the St. Croix dominated play Saturday, September 23rd at our Glen Park Courts in the first-ever "Border Battle", scoring a 546 to 362 win. Lake Elmo's Julie Chambers scored a perfect 77 to win top scorer honors for the Gopher women. Lilith Schreiner and Jenny Fassbinder Albrecht won four of seven matches to lead the Badgers.

The Badger women fell prey to unforced errors that were definitely out of character for them in the early matches. Statistical analysis revealed the average score in the first three games was 11 to 6.3 points.  Things improved in the final three games to the tune of a 11 to 8.8 average score.

Lots of skill was on display with long rallies being the order of the day.  Spectators on hand got their money's worth from this event organized by our very own Harold Tiffany. I have a feeling this could become an annual event!?

The pictures below are the Badger and Gopher women who competed.

The Tennis Channel, ESPN & CBS now carry live action of both PPA & MLP matches.
